Xanadu Restaurant
This contemporary restaurant combines locally made timber, high ceilings and stonemason work, making for an eye-catching view upon entry.

The restaurant menu is diverse and modern, with most dishes able to accommodate more than one variety of wine. Tapas is available throughout the day, along with a selection of freshly made cakes and homemade muffins. Outside features a fantastic barbeque area with a seating capacity of around 80 and a playground for the kids.

If you’re planning a lazy afternoon with a bottle of wine, you may require something a little more substantial. How about starting with freshly shucked oysters with lemon? For main course, there’s the steak baguette - chargrilled Scotch fillet on French bread with all the Xanadu Wines trimmings, or the fillet of Atlantic salmon, freshly grilled on our Xanadu BBQ. The Xanadu Restaurant is open from 10-5pm Monday to Sunday, and every Saturday night.

Established in 1989, James and Anne Howieson have created something very unique with their Boranup Gallery. Set in the tall timbers of the Boranup National Park, just off Caves Road, 5km south of the Lake Cave, the fine rammed earth and timber building incorporating seven species of timber is a show case for the Artisans of the South West.

Inside, one becomes very aware of the beauty of wood. Permanently displayed is Boranup Gallery's very own exclusive range of Boranup Furniture designed and handcrafted on the property by a dedicated team of master craftsmen utilising the specialty timbers unique to the South West of Western Australia. In particular the range of Jarrah and Jarrah Burlwood furniture is being exported worldwide and has gained an enormous reputation within Australia.

Complimenting the furniture is a constantly changing display of over eighty works by renowned Australian Artists. Curated by Gi'Nelle Stammers, this diverse range includes the vibrant oils and water-colours of Arthur Hamblin, capturing the essence of outback Australia. Lori Pensini colourfully portrays imaginative and humorous Australiana topics and the unique style of Joseph Zago shows off our Karri Forests.

After you have had a browse through the Gallery, relax on the decking and sample the gourmet delights from the Boranup Cafe. Open seven days, chef Stephen Meagher offers superb lunches and delicious cakes to have with your coffee or tea.

Take a day to sample the Boranup area, the jewel of Margaret River with its winding forest drives, caves and coastal scenery culminating in the visual delights of the award winning Gallery, you will treasure the experience.
